Come visit us! We think you'll like what you find...
We're conveniently located on Hwy 50 at the 'Y', right next to the Subway sandwich shop (click here for directions). So whether you're on your way out of town or on your way in, stop by Lake of the Sky Outfitters and get set up with all your hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing or cross country skiing needs.
What you won't find is your typical outdoor retail store, where salespeople are either too busy to help or else are trying to upsell you with expensive junk you don't need.
What you will find is a friendly and knowledgeable staff, who love the outdoors as much as you do, have over 30 years of experience exploring the Range of Light, and know from personal experience just the right gear you need for your next adventure.
At our store we want to foster a sense of community. We want folks to come in, browse at their leisure, ask questions and share their stories. To that end, we have our Basecamp Resource Room, where you can plan trips, share stories about your adventures, and even show slide/digital media shows! If you'd like us to host an evening event for you to show your pictures from a great hiking or winter trip, just put them on a DVD and let us know - we'd be glad to host an event for you!
